A trip to Lake Como in the Summer means enjoying the lake to the full! And your holiday will surely include a dip in blue waters!
Be it a public beach or a lido with a swimming pool, there are plenty of ways to fight the heat with a refreshing swim in the lake or in a lakeside pool.
Of course you can also choose to rent your own villa with a pool and you can comfortably walk out of your rental home in your swimsuit and go for a swim! Villa Benedetta, Villa Lake Vista and Tenuta La Contenta are our rental villas including a pool in their many amenities.
Most of our villas and apartments are located in Como or in the neighbouring towns like Cernobbio, Blevio, Moltrasio, Torno. Here you find a list of the beaches and lidos situated in the Western side of Lake Como. Some are accessible for free, some require a daily fee and in a few cases it is better to book in advance (ask your “My Home in Como” Guest Manager).

Here is a list of very nice beaches to go suntan and swim.
Lido di Villa Olmo, the closest lido with pool to the city of Como, two pools, bar, large parking and amazing view. Small playground for kids. “Family friendly”
Lido di Cernobbio, exclusive and beautiful location and limited space. Booking online highly reccommended. Swimming pool, bar, restaurant, baby pool, amazing view. Have a look at their Instagram account.
Spiaggetta Urio, In Carate Urio, you pay a once-only 15€ memebers fee and you can go as many times as you wish. Truly feel “like a local” – bar, you can swim in the lake, no pool.
Lido di Moltrasio, in Moltrasio, a small lido by the lake, with a nice pizzeria at the back, pizza is served right on the beach in the evening and in the terrace for lunch. No pool, diving tower. “like a local”
Lido di Argegno, in Argegno, bar, restaurant and a nice small pool and bar, right on the lake. Check their facebook page for Live music and update (website not updated). Avoid weekend since it gets very crowded. “perfect view”
Terrazza Dompero in Brienno . Great location, nice for a drink in the evening with great views! No pool, diving pier. Due to the location, the sun goes away by 4.30pm so it is better to be there earlier in the day if you wish to suntan. “prefect for a drink by the lake and a quick swim”.
If you are looking for a nice and exclusive location, appreciated by our Russian clients, try the Lido di Lenno. “elegant beach”
Lido di Faggeto, in Faggeto Lario. Small but lively and nice, hard to find parking, so you may want to go by boat. Bar, sunchairs, no pool, tiny beach. “like a local”
Beaches directly on the lake are up North in Cremia, Dongo, Gera Lario, Domaso. “kitesurfer paradise”
Lido di Ossuccio is also good for a day bay the water – the beach is by a very famous bell tower.
Have fun and enjoy swimming on Lake Como!
