In the city of Como and neighboring cities, there are ASF bus services; tickets can be purchased on the bus (cash only) or at other authorized points (the bus station in Piazza Matteotti in Como, bars, and tobacconists). Taxi services are also available.
From the pier, ferries reach Cernobbio, Torno, Bellagio, Varenna, Colico, and other locations along the lakefront. Please note that during the high season, there may be long queues at the ticket office before boarding. Tickets can also be purchased online on the "Navigazione Laghi" website.
From Como San Giovanni railway station, you can regularly reach Milan Central Station and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno), while from Como Nord Lago station you can reach Milan Cadorna railway station.
The nearest airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. Shuttle services to and from the airports can be easily arranged at an additional cost. For further questions regarding transportation and transfers, please do not hesitate to contact us; we will be happy to assist you!

We recommend dedicating a day to visiting the wonderful towns around the lake. Como is the urban center of the area, but the towns are pearls with splendid villas on the lake.
When moving around and walking along Lake Como, especially in small towns, it is necessary to wear comfortable shoes.
There are many public drinking water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless otherwise indicated. Tap water is also safe to drink. You can bring your reusable bottle with you!
If you're looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and still want to enjoy the mountain views, the Greenway of Lake Como is an easy-to-follow path that connects the lake towns from Colonno to Griante and doesn't require too many climbs. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno.
Look for traditional restaurants where you can taste local dishes, such as those based on Lake Como fish.
In Italy, many shops (especially small ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so make sure to plan your shopping accordingly.
Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. However, for those who want to swim in the water, there are some options. In Como, there is an outdoor pool near Villa Olmo, but swimming in the lake is strongly discouraged and mostly prohibited. There are beaches in other locations along the lake shores. A beautiful beach is located in Careno, but it might be crowded on weekends. Residents and visitors also love to go to Nesso, where the bravest swimmers can dive into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.
The Lido di Bellagio and the beach of San Giovanni await those who want to explore the beautiful town of Bellagio, located in the center of the two branches of the lake.
Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding Prealps may not seem very high, but the climate is still influenced by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change rapidly. Pay particular attention to the weather conditions during hikes and bring warm and waterproof clothing with you!

There are plenty of wonderful things to do around Lake Como! We can suggest and help you organize the following:
Private boat tours
Kayaking/SUP on the lake
Seaplane flights over the lake
Yoga and meditation classes
Wine tastings
Cooking classes
Hiking and wild herb gathering
Mountain biking excursions
Mountain trekking
Guided tours of Milan
For more information, feel free to contact us; we will be happy to recommend experiences tailored to your tastes!
All guests are required to pay a tourist tax per person per night. A personal identification document is required before check-in. Additionally, it is mandatory to separate waste according to Italian recycling laws.
